A few days ago we reported that TwimGo, the famous Twitter client for Maemo, was ported to Symbian. The application is developed on WRT but still seems to run smooth despite the clunky web runtime. Tommi Luakkanen (@tlaukkanen) the developer of TwimGo decided to go one step forward and rewrite the whole app in Qt Quick (Qt QML specifically) making it even faster.

Nokia released yesterday a software update for all the Symbian^3 devices containing mostly bug fixes and optimisations. The Apps update is similar to last years Phone App update we have seen on October.

The Nokia Beta Labs family grows and the next 3rd party application to join is Moodagent by Syntonetic. It was Nokia's call some months ago to 3rd party developers in order to showcase and pilot their apps at Nokia Beta Labs and we are happy to see another excelent app coming along.

A few days ago we anounced that swype language support was widened but the team behind swype was working really hard to give us a brand new version of swype that is almost ready to be published on ovi store. This means that the beta is going to end soon as the final version is coming really soon and swype reaches a stable release

One of the best "All-in-one" IM/VOIP applications and twitter clients just got a minor update with only a few but really important additions. This new version for Symbian promises to consume up to 70% less data compared to previous versions thanks to zlib compression, but there are more than just this.
