Although PR1.1 update for Symbian^3 devices is here, it didn't bring a new UI or any eye-candy changes. But Nokia is working in some great ideas and there will be a new UI for Symbian this year. But until that time comes Nokia Beta Labs introduces some great ideas into revolutionary app demostrating Nokia's vision of a great User Interface experience. Nokia Bubbles is one of them and we are sure the developers behind that beautiful app are one of the gems Stephen Elop was talking about!
Bubbles is a really fun application that replaces the Symbian^3 lock screen with a really efficient bubble shortcut screen. When pressing the menu key while the phone is locked, bubbles will appear. You can then simply grab a bubble drag it and drop it to another bubble corresponding to a specific action. This way you can simplify some actions even before unlocking your phone.
In short the Bubbles app by Nokia lets you do the following (for more info click here):
Even if you are not interested into doing anything specific you could play around with the bubbles and lost into the bubble physics.
You can get this app, free of charge, from its page at Nokia Beta Labs. Don't forget to give your feedback as the app is still in an early beta stage.
