Nimbuzz introduces ping on version 3.0.2

But for Nimbuzz that was only the begining as the developers are now heading into a really revolutionary idea of combining the power of sms with that of IM on the cloud! Maemo 5 still lives through Community SSU

When Nokia announced the Fusion of their Maemo OS with Intel's Moblin that born MeeGo, many questions raised about future support of their existing Maemo devices and especially N900. But every Open Sοurce Operating System has its own community to drive it's evolution. This is the case for Maemo 5 and its only device powering it the Nokia N900 where they now get a proper project for maintaining the OS the way their users want, the right way.

Socially 3 gets a major stable release

In case you missed it, Socially, the social-networking app was rapidly evolving the last few months and had a release of a beta version that brought a better and faster UI. Due to some problems the beta didn't support Foursquare and LinkedIn but the team behind Socially did a great job and in less than a week the first stable release ver. 3.02 is now available

Minor update for Nimbuzz that will lower your expenses.

One of the best "All-in-one" IM/VOIP applications and twitter clients just got a minor update with only a few but really important additions. This new version for Symbian promises to consume up to 70% less data compared to previous versions thanks to zlib compression, but there are more than just this.

First MeeGo tablets demoed at CES.

Intel's booth at CES 2011 in Las Vegas was (not so agressively) demoing MeeGo on various tablet hardware implementations. The already released WeTab had a special place for it showcasing the power of the OS but Intel gave more weight in a new unreleased tablet that will use their new dual core cpu chipset "Oak Trail Atom" which is expected on Q2 2011.
