The revolutionary (or maybe not) touch input method, swype, just got more languages support for Symbian. Three more language packs are available for Swype for Symbian beta: Italian, Dutch, and Icelandic.
Today Nokia released an update to their Software updater. It just got better. On the last beta version Software updater gave more power to the users by letting them update software on the device and not just the firmware. We all know the famous Opera Mini browser for mobile phones. It's maybe the fastest mobile web browser thanks to its proxy based nature. Unfortunately the browser is written on Java and that limits the potential. Well not anymore.
As I mentioned on my previous post alot of things have happened during the last few years. One of them was the Open Sourcing of the Symbian OS and Nokia's Series60 being the only User Interface of the OS bringing the death to all the rest UI for Symbian and especially the UIQ touch UI. The next move by Nokia to make things clear that they want an open future for the OS was the creation of the Symbian Foundation.
