Google rolled out a brand new version of their youtube client for Symbian. The new version supports all the new Symbian^3 devices and brings some new features.

This update brings the Youtube Symbian application to version 2.4.10. For the first time it introduces transition effects between screens and also makes better use of the larger screens of the touch devices. It also allows users to log-in to their Youtube Accounts and access their favorites.

The video resolution seems to be updated but there is no changelog or an official anouncement to confirm that.

On our first few tests with the app there are alot of things and bugs that needs ironing. The video quality is not the best and you still can't watch all the collection of videos present on the desktop version of YouTube. There are also some problems with the position slider when navigating the videos back which actually empties the buffer.

There are no official details on this update over at Google's Mobile Blog just yet. To get the new Google Youtube Application on your Nokia, simply head across to m.google.com from your Nokia's default browser, where you will be prompted of the available downloads.
