In case you missed it, Socially, the social-networking app was rapidly evolving the last few months and had a release of a beta version that brought a better and faster UI. Due to some problems the beta didn't support Foursquare and LinkedIn but the team behind Socially did a great job and in less than a week the first stable release ver. 3.02 is now available
There a little story behind this new release. The developers behind Socially were working on this new release the last couple of months following the feedback of their users for a better user experience and performance in general. But Facebook decided to make changes to their APIs depracating every effort made by the socially team. They had to start all over again and work really hard and that made them release the first beta release of Socially 3.0 with limited support to only facebook and twitter, 2 weeks ago.
And now the new stable release is outwith a really staggering list of new features, enhancements and bug fixes:
We really like the new version and all the changes it brings but we believe it still needs alot of improvements. The application is still not as smooth as we'd like to see especially the kinetic scrolling part. We love the intergration with contacts but somehow the app lucks the smoothness of apps like Gravity. We hope to see further improvements on the app and we are sure it's on the right track
To get the update just head to m.socially.com with your mobile's phone browser. The update will be available to the OVI Store really soon.
